Hopefully Toyota can source an engine for the car (if it actually is this anyways). Currently, the Lmp1 engines they are using are being discontinued, so I’m curious to see what Toyota will do.

Although it might have to do with the angle, the new design does fit well with the widebody!

Last I checked the new GT300 rules would make a mid-engine Prius (and CR-Z) illegal. This new Prius racer looks front-engine to me, so it’d be nice to see a cutaway of the innards.

Now this bit of design makes sense.

Apparently, there is a loophole that APR may use for a mid-engine design. https://twitter.com/geinou/status/…

Huh, and it looks as though apr can just fish out a road-going V8 Toyota if they want to stick with it.

Clearly we need a homologation special mid engined V8 Prius. Only option really. Makes total sense.

Why not? The i8’s not for the great crazy-wicked M treatment, but its chassis is a good starting point for BMW should our dream Toyota Prius V8 actually happen and turn out to be cool and chase down the i8 in sales.
